Kellie Bush MA LMHPI moved to the Omaha area seven years ago after I earned my Masters degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota- Twin Cities in 2006. I received my BAS in Psychology and Communications from the University of Minnesota- Duluth in 2002. Go Bulldogs!

I have specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) which is a specific therapeutic model developed for children and adolescents who have experienced a traumatic event or multiple traumatic events. This model is research based and proven to significantly decrease the level and intensity of negative feelings associated with trauma, including anxiety, depression, fear, guilt/shame,  and anger.

I have an extensive background in sexuality education as an intern at Planned Parenthood, researching female arousal and assistant teaching with a professor as an undergraduate, writing many research papers during graduate school on various sexuality and sex therapy topics, have taken several sexuality courses, and collaborate with other sex therapy professionals regularly in the community. As a member of AASECT, education and training in this area will be ongoing and constant as this field is always growing and changing. The majority of my clients come to me for help with sexual concerns including sexual desire problems, erectile issues, orgasmic problems,  relationship dilemmas, pelvic pain/pain during intercourse, sexual trauma, sexual orientation concerns, fetishes, and sexual addictions. I see couples and  individuals, as well as children and adolescents, and I think I have the best job in the whole world!

I am friendly and easygoing. I can be direct in session and I will always be honest and open with you. I bring humor into session and am, by nature, hopeful and optimistic. I often give homework assignments, as there is only so much we are able to accomplish in a 45 minute to one hour session. The rest is up to you, until we meet again. Follow through is very important. I help focus on the power of positive thinking and changing your negative cognitive distortions. I look forward to helping you make lifelong changes!
